He scoffs at God and even more at people who believe in the dark forces till one day an evil is let loose in his happy home, threatening to destroy his family and shake up the very foundations of his convictions and belief system.
The movie opened up pretty well considering the superb publicity campaign.The youth got quite curious about the Rs 5 Lakh challenge.The movie however has got mixed response all over.Taran Adarsh gave it 4 on 5 and said, “PHOONK is a fascinating cinematic experience on a subject thatâ€™s rarely tackled by the dream merchants in Bollywood: Black magic.”AOL india reviewer Noyon Jyoti Parasara was not too kind with the movie as he said, “Overall Phoonk scores low on the scare-o-meter.”Both and most others however agree that the performances are something to look forward to.
