If you love mindless comedies with catchy one-liners delivered to perfection along with Paresh Rawal as main comedian, then this is a movie that you shouldn’t miss. Apart from comedy, the movie bears slick hollywood style action sequences from matrix to MII. The gritty action sequences have been shot using the latest technology from Hollywood. The movie has ‘Hera Pheri’ team plus more.

Cast: Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani, Paresh Rawal, Amrita Rao, Asrani, Rahul Dev, Johnny Lever, Om Puri(Guest)

The film centres on the legacy of a dead Indian underworld don (Om Puri), who dies of a heart attack at the beginning of the film. He leaves diamonds worth $10bn at the New York Bank, to be distributed equally between his son Vikrant, his daughter Preeti, and Preeti’s husband Guru. To claim the diamonds, all three benefactors must be present at the bank, or, if dead, their death certificates must be presented. Shortly after the Don’s death, Vikrant attempts to eliminate Guru by assassinating the Indian Home Minister in full view of television cameras while disguised as him. Guru flees to the US to escape prosecution.

The middle of the film is predominantly a comedy, broken up by the obligatory Bollywood song and dance routines; however, the beginning and end are characterised by several martial arts fights, including some use of wire-fu, and the film has an explosive climax typical of action films. As well as taking its plot from The Whole Nine Yards, the film lifts almost the entire lobby scene from The Matrix virtually bullet-for-bullet (minus Trinity’s part).

Akshay Kumar’s stylish introduction in the beginning, and Sunil Shetty’s sudden appearance later on in the plot keep the viewers glued to the screen. Both Akshay and Sunil have played their part impressively showing once again that they are capable of doing death-defying stunts.

The three heroines in the film – Priti Jhangiani, Amrita Arora and Aarti Chabria – do not have much footage in the narrative. However, their presence does add some glamour and gloss to the story.
