Ron Sen (Barun Sobti) is a successful sports agent who manages top players from the Indian cricket team. After controversy ends the prospects of his career, Ron mentors a down-on-luck cricketer, Shome (Amartya Ray) to help achieve his dream.
Transitions can be a tricky proposition and popular sports journalist, Mitali Ghoshal’s turn to filmmaking with 22 Yards is a classic example. Her film has insights from the world of sports agents and struggling cricketers, but the film severely lacks the finesse and depth needed for an engaging storytelling effort. The lead man, Barun Sobti’s performance is also inconsistent and can’t make up for the lacklustre execution.
