Krishnakant Trivedi is a retired professor living his wife, Sharda. As they are lonely, they decide to let their bungalow to paying guests. But…. each paying guest arrives with a problem which Krishnakant and Sharda end up sharing. Through each problem is reflected the sufferings of people who are socially, morally and emotionally shaken. Krishnakant and Sharda’s benevolence brings succour and instills courage and hope in their disillusioned lives.

Each episode represents a facet of life varying from one paying guest to another and is replete with sighs and smiles.
